The Wisconsin Department of Health Services held a legislative briefing on June 16, 2010 at the State Capitol to hear discussion on Medicaid Rate Reform 2.0. Due to additional demands on Medicaid services during an economic downturn, DHS has identified a number of savings and opportunities for reform, known as Rate Reform 2.0, with stakeholder input. State Medicaid Director Jason Helgerson and Fiscal Management Bureau Director Jim Johnston gave presentations.

Supporters of the effort to reform payday lending in Wisconsin held a briefing for legislators, staff and other interested parties on September 16, 2009 at the State Capitol. The event was hosted by State Representative Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh), the lead assembly sponsor of Assembly Bill 392 relating to payday lending reform.
